How to Register for Interludes Trips

Interludes with Nature is a special series of field trips offered every year which are an important fundraising tool for Boulder County Audubon. These trips are led by the area’s most knowledgeable birders and naturalists who take participants to places they wouldn’t often get to see.

Funds raised send our Teen Naturalists to birding and nature camps. Find out what Interludes With Nature trips are happening this year.

How to Sign up for Interludes With Nature Trips

The first opportunity to sign up for BCAS Interludes With Nature field trips is during the 50th Anniversary celebration from 5-7 PM before the 4th Tuesday program on November 22, 2022. These trips have proved extremely popular and may sell out that evening. This is why you’ll frequently see “SOLD OUT” on individual Interludes trips.

Payment will not be collected when you sign up at the celebration. You will receive a Paypal invoice by email within a few days of signing up, and payment will be expected within a week. You will be able to pay through Paypal (you do not need to have a Paypal account) or by mailing a check.

Email signup for Interludes trips after the November 22 celebration begins at 7 AM on Wednesday November 23. Emails before this time will not be considered. To sign up, follow these steps:

  1. Check the individual Interludes event page to make sure it is not sold out. If it is sold out, you can choose to be added to the waitlist by contacting the Interludes Field Trips Coordinator.

  2. Contact the Interludes Trips Coordinator at special_event@boulderaudubon.org, to sign up or request to be added to the waitlist. In your email, please include the name of the Interludes trip you want to attend, the name of each person you are requesting a field trip spot for, and a contact phone number (preferably a cell phone number in case the trip leader needs to contact you the day of the trip).

  3. Once the Interludes Field Trips Coordinator has confirmed the open slot(s) for the trip, they will email you an invoice that can be paid on Paypal with a credit card or by check. You do not need to have a Paypal account.

We require full payment within a week of the Coordinator confirming the open spot(s) on the trip. If you do not want to pay immediately, you can put your name on the Wait List until you want to pay. However, your spot is not held and if the trip sells out, you will not be included.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations incur a $20.00 fee. If you cancel within 3 weeks of the event, your payment, less the fee, will only be refunded if the spot can be filled. Please consider it a donation for the fine work that Boulder County Audubon does and how much work it is to arrange these trips and keep track of the attendees.
