World Migratory Bird Day of the Rockies 2026

World Migratory Bird Day is a global celebration that highlights the journeys birds make each year across continents and flyways. It brings people together to raise awareness about the challenges migratory birds face and to support efforts that protect the habitats they depend on. The event encourages learning, connection, and community action to help protect migratory birds.

Environment for the Americas hosts this annual event at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat in Boulder, CO. This event brings together organizations, families, and individuals to celebrate migratory birds and conservation. Boulder County Audubon will be there with bird walks, educational displays, and fun activities.

In addition to Saturday’s activities at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat, this year’s celebration includes activities on Friday May 15 and Sunday May 17 - see the flyer below and this Environment for the Americas website for details.
