Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat with Daniel Carrier

Description: Join Daniel Carrier at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat for a fun morning of birding! The group will spend several hours scanning ponds, marshes, and fields in search of resident and migratory birds. Some possible birds include Wood Duck, Belted Kingfisher, Common Yellowthroat, and Snowy Egret. Daniel will be there to answer any questions and keep a diligent eBird checklist for any interested participants. 

Where to meet: Meet at the Cottonwood Marsh trailhead at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat (Walden Pond Trailhead on google maps). Walden Ponds is just west of 75th St. between Valmont Rd. and Jay Rd. At the Walden Ponds sign on 75th St., turn west, follow the road as it curves to the south, and turn right into the Cottonwood Marsh parking lot. Maps and info about the area can be found here.
