NOTE: We ask that all field trip participants abide by BCAS Field Trip Etiquette.

To register for updates or ask question: Email trip leader Dave Sutherland. Website https://www.davesutherland.co/

NOTE: The program will be offered once, on the night with the best weather forecast. Registered participants will get email updates about the night selected.

Possible dates:

Friday November 6, 7:00-9:00 PM. OR
Saturday November 7, 7:00-9:00 PM. OR
Sunday November 8, 7:00-9:00 PM.

As crisp autumn nights settle in, the rising planet Saturn and the stars of fall take center stage. Ancient drama plays out overhead with Andromeda, Pegasus, Perseus and Cassiopeia (and Algol the Demon Star, the head of the Medusa).  In the south Sagittarius leads us to the heart of the Milky Way, while the Andromeda galaxy is visible in the northeast. Join naturalist Dave Sutherland and a telescope to peer into the distant reaches of space.

The program will be canceled if there is 50% cloud cover or more at the starting time.

Where to meet: The event will be held at Joder Ranch, a few miles north of Boulder. Directions will be supplied when you register.
