PLEASE NOTE: THIS TRIP IS FULL, BUT YOU CAN JOIN THE WAITLIST.
Registration Required. Limit 20, please RSVP on the Meetup page. If you’re not already a member of Meetup, you’ll need to join to get details and sign up for this event. Please cancel if you register and can’t make it, so someone on the waitlist can attend.
We are fortunate to have Megan Jones Patterson lead us. She is a wildlife biologist and educator with avian experience from Australia to the neo-tropics to North America. She is active with both BCAS and Colorado Field Ornithologists.
Binoculars will be available to loan if you don’t have your own.
Bring repellent for the lakes, just in case.
After birding for a couple of hours, we'll make our way to Avery Brewing for some drinks you purchase yourself and snacks that Boulder County Audubon Society has generously offered to provide.
NOTE: We ask that all field trip participants abide by BCAS Field Trip Etiquette.
Where to Meet
Birds: Meet at the Teller Farm North parking area on the south side of Valmont, between 75th and 95th (NOT the Teller Lakes South parking lot off Arapahoe Ave. where Google Maps usually directs "Teller Lakes" to, and also NOT the White Rocks Trailhead off 95th).
Brews: Avery Brewing at 4910 Nautilus Ct. N, Boulder.
