Trip Leader: Dave Sutherland, dsutherland4747@gmail.com   https://www.davesutherland.co/

Dave Sutherland is an award-winning naturalist and formerly with Boulder OSMP. Who knows what the end of summer will bring us? Early migrating ducks and shorebirds? Goldfinches and song sparrows? Maybe a Common Yellowthroat? Maybe.....a Great Horned Owl? We will stroll around Sawhill to see what we can see as summer draws to a close. Sawhill Ponds never disappoint!

We'll bird for two hours then meet at Upslope for drinks you pay for and appetizers provided by BCAS. Bring a mask, repellent, water, binoculars, and a spotting scope if you have one (always very much appreciated!). Extra binoculars will be available to borrow. All birding levels welcome.

Where to meet: Meet at the parking lot at Sawhill Ponds. The turnoff to Sawhill Ponds is on 75th St. just south of the Walden Ponds turnoff. If you’re heading north, look for the Sawhill sign on the right; it's easy to miss the turn if you're not paying attention. Turn west and drive to the parking lot. Directions and more here. Upslope Brewing Company’s Flatiron Park taproom is at 1898 South Flatiron Court in Boulder.
