With their brilliant colors, amazing metamorphosis, and sobering survival rates, butterflies are captivating to people of all ages. Begin learning about the fascinating world of butterflies in Boulder County (and the Front Range) with basics for identifying different species, when and where to find them, their interconnected relationships with plants, and photography tips. This session will help tune up your eyes and your curiosity to enjoy observing butterflies all season long.

In-Person Gathering - BCAS welcomes everyone back to in-person programs at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder. Doors open at 6:30 PM for socializing and the program begins at 7:15. While the church is no longer requiring masks, we encourage you to wear your favorite high-quality mask, and we will provide free surgical masks for anyone who needs one. Please stay home if you feel sick, and watch the program on Zoom.

An FM hearing assistive system is available in the Earth room where BCAS programs are held.  Feel like you hear, but don’t understand?  To borrow the receivers and headsets, they can be typically found in a basket on the table to the right as you enter the double doors to the Earth room. There are four receivers of this type. They are fed sound directly from the sound system; you can control the volume and, more importantly, improve clarity. Please see the one-page handout for more information on how to use this system.

Online Gathering - The meeting room will open at 7:10 PM, and the program starts at 7:15 PM. Questions for the speaker will be taken from the chat feature of the Zoom session.

Online access info will be posted here by the day of the program.
