Birds & Energy - Understanding our human energy challenges in the context of life

  • 951 Spruce Street Louisville, CO, 80027 (map)

This engaging program explores how energy shapes our daily lives, the role we play in developing sustainable energy solutions, and the policies influencing our communities and environment.

The title Energy and Birds reflects the National Audubon Society’s emphasis on climate and energy issues, and ties into the Boulder County Audubon Society’s Birds and Beyond initiative—highlighting the vital connection between energy use, public policy, and the ecosystems that support us.

The evening begins with an informal and interactive exploration of energy fundamentals, featuring the “energy bike” and information tables from Go Electric Colorado, Identiflight and Aquacare Solar.   Arrive as early as 5:45 to enjoy this interactive learning experience.

Following this, we will hear from Alice Madden, National Audubon Society's Senior Director of Climate Strategy, and Brad Begin, Chairman of Alpen High Performance Products. They will share insights into national and local energy policies and practices and practical steps we can take to conserve energy, support renewable energy, and advocate for sustainable change.
