Variegated Meadowhawk (f)

(Sympetrum corruptum). One of our most abundant dragonflies, like most meadowhawks this species is often found in fields. Females are yellow with white “portholes” along the sides of the abdomen. Habitat: most wetlands with adjacent fields. Season: summer. Photo by Steve Jones
