It's that time of year again! Spring migration!

We are very fortunate to have Dave Sutherland lead us again on the beautiful Bear Mountain trail. Dave is an award-winning naturalist and formerly with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks. He is sure to entertain and educate us as we bird one of Boulder's best trails for colorful spring migrants. We will actually use "Birds of Costa Rica" as our field guide! As Dave likes to say, "Why fly to Belize or Costa Rica when their birds will come to us?"

Binoculars will be available to loan if you don’t have your own.

Following our walk, we'll head back down Table Mesa Drive to Under the Sun for some libations you purchase and snacks provided by Boulder County Audubon Society. They don’t accept credit cards, so bring cash or check.

Where to Meet
Birds: Bear Canyon trailhead, 1520 Bear Mountain Drive (map). From Broadway, head west on Table Mesa Drive, then turn left (south) onto Lehigh Street., then take a right on Bear Mountain Drive and follow it to the trailhead, which is just past Wildwood Lane. Park along the street and we'll meet at the trailhead.
Brews: Under the Sun Pub & Pizza at 627A South Broadway in the Table Mesa shopping center, Table Mesa Dr. and Broadway.
