Boulder Birds & Brew: White Rocks Trail and Avery Brewing Co.

Limit 20, please RSVP on the Meetup page. If you’re not already a member of Meetup, you’ll need to join to get details and sign up for this event. Please cancel if you register and can’t make it, so someone on the waitlist can attend.

It's been almost three months since we've had an event, so it's TIME! I'm happy to announce that Megan Jones Patterson will lead us again. Megan is a wildlife biologist and educator with avian field experience from Australia to the Neotropics to North America. She is active with both BCAS and Colorado Field Ornithologists.

White Rocks Trail is a treat any time of year. In the fall, it is especially good. Migrant songbirds along the creek and in the pasture, open skies to see raptors and cranes, and ponds for early winter waterfowl.

We will enjoy socializing after birding at Avery, 4910 Nautilus Ct., where you pay for your own beverages, and our sponsor, Boulder County Audubon Society, provides appetizers.

Where to Meet
IMPORTANT: Meet at the Teller Farm North parking area on the south side of Valmont between 75th and 95th (NOT the Teller Lakes South parking lot off Arapahoe where Google Maps usually directs "Teller Lakes" to, and also NOT the White Rocks Trailhead off of 95th).

From 75th Street and Valmont Road, travel east on Valmont 2.1 miles to the parking lot on the right (south). From the east, the trailhead is just over 1/2 mile west of 95th Street. For directions and more click here.
