Trip Leader: Jim Fischer

Ready to bird again? For the third January in a row, we're going to Prospect Park in Wheat Ridge to see the mergansers and other winter species. If you've been there with us before, you know it's a great birding spot. Jim Fischer lives near the park and he'll be our leader. He's a longtime birder with sightings in over 40 countries and a list of 188 species in 20 years in Prospect Park. Amazing! He also likes beer and wine so he'll fit right in with us.

We'll bird with Jim for about two hours, then meet at New Terrain Brewing in Golden for drinks you pay for and appetizers provided by BCAS. Bring a mask, repellent, water, binoculars, and a spotting scope if you have one (always very much appreciated!). Extra binoculars will be available to borrow. All birding levels are welcome.

Where to meet: Meet at the Youngfield parking lot for the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt and Prospect Park, located on Youngfield St about 1/4 mile south of 44thAvenue. New Terrain Brewing is nearby at 16401 Table Mountain Parkway in Golden.
